The Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies is a national training and educational entity founded in 1983 to cater to the human resources development needs of the UAE Banking sector. In 1990,the Banking Diploma Program was introduced and delivered exclusively by EIBFS. In 1998, an agreement was signed with Chartered Institute of Bankers, London, U.K. (now known as Institute of Financial Services) to raise the standard of the program and to ensure its academic integrity. Since its inception in1990, 442 students have graduated from the program. Most are working in the banking sector and several are holding senior positions
