The Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) has been working in the direction of providing quality human resource to the banking industry in the UAE. The Institute has transformed the human resource in the country in terms of quality and quantity. The growing banking sector has always felt a strong need for trained and educated man power, and EIBFS has been in the forefront of providing them. The Institute is transforming the human resource in the banking sector by providing the latest, updated, and world class training programs. With strong emphasis on Emiratization, and continuing the focus on all round development, EIBFS has been a driving force to ensure better, improved and result oriented HR policies in the banking sector. The Institute has been successful in redefining the role of education and training in the Emiratization efforts.

EIBFS has been conducting nearly 200 training programs every year for a wide range of clientele ranging from customer service representatives to the heads of departments. The institute has highly advanced students' management system and an accounting system, which are fully operational. A highly advanced software for library management is already underway, and will be functional very soon. Not to mention about the system security and firewall precautions taken by the Institute. The Institute has state of the art equipped classrooms and training halls, along with four advanced computer labs.

EIBFS has been highly proactive in Emiratization efforts. The institute has inducted special award for best HR policies in banks in UAE, as a part of efforts towards Emiratization. Due to sustained efforts of EIBFS, the Emiratization in banks has reached 26% in the year 2003, from just over 9% in the year 1997. The Institute is aiming to reach the national target of 40% soon.

We also acknowledge the support and encouragement received from various quarters of government, UAE Central Bank, all the banks in UAE and the UAE Banks Association for their unconditional support.
