Overview

Introduction

The HRD Award is the UAE’s most prestigious UAE Emiratisation Award for organizations in banking and financial sectors. It is open to all the organizations in these sectors and focuses on recognizing organisations’s efforts and achievement in the area of Emiratisation and UAE National employment, training and development, and providing detailed independent feedback to all participating organizations to help them of their continuing Emiratisation journey.

The Award assessors are all practicing senior managers academics and experts who bring their years of experience and experts who bring their years of experience and judgment to provide valuable feedback and the evidence on which the recognition is based .

The award provides enhanced focus on all aspects of Excellence in Emiratisation that are becoming increasingly critical to the success of any Emiratisation inititiative. Additionally the changes provided organizations with the opportunity to give more explicit focus on :

1- Value of having and implementing Strategic Emiratisation Plan
2- Need to relate everything that is done , and measurements taken to what policy and strategy is             seeking to achieve

The Award is built upon the following set of interrelated Core Emiratisation Categories, these are:

1. Strategic Emiratisation Plan " SEP "
2. Leadership
3. Human Resources
4. Training and Development
5. Community Service

These components are designed to help participating organizations use an integrated approach to Emiratisation that results in :

1. Achievement of UAE Nationalisation Quota
2. Recruitment and selection of UAE Nationals
3. Training and Development of UAE Nationals
4. Integration of UAE Nationals into the organization
5. Participation of UAE Nationals in the growth of the organization


Assessment Dimensions

The ASSESSMENT DIMENSIONS against which the award will be assessed both at the component and item within component levels are Approach, Deployment, Results and Improvement are commonly referred to as ADRI.

1. Approach: Identifies the bank’s vision of Emiratisation and intent for an ( Component / item )
2. Deployment: Identifies the activities actually happening
3. Results: Demonstrates how measures are monitored
4. Improvement: Shows how you improve the Approach and its Deployment

Standards Structure
 

Each category consists of a number of ITEMS in the form of questions. There are in total nineteen items or questions spread over five categories. Each item focuses on a major requirements and areas to address in your response. Within each item we have provided you with a number of RADAR Points, these are not conclusive and you may add should you see necessary. The objective of radar points is to help you focus and provide you with guidelines for what the assessors will be looking for during their assessment of your application. Component and item scoring values can be found in the scoring table provided.
