 Achievements Indicators

• The committee has got a wide reputation among the official organizations in the UAE. Most of the banks have expressed their appreciation to the committee role.

• The committee has achieved a series of results, the number of the UAE nationals in banking sector has increased from 1278 in 1997 to 8712 in December 2006.

• Some managements have got a substantial change, as the number of the UAE nationals in the top and senior positions has increased from 162 in 1997, to 561 in December 2006. The percentage of the branch manager position has reached almost 246%.

• The percentage of Emiratization in banking sector has increased from 9,38 % to 32.36%.

The Increase in Numbers & Percentages of UAE Nationals in Banking Sector

 December 2005 – 2006

• The total number of the labour force of the banking sector has increased from 23319 in 31/12/2005 to almost 26926 persons in 31/12/2006. With an increase of 3607persons, and percentage of 15.5%.

 • The emiratization percentage among banks has degreased with a rate of 2.53%. In 31/12/2006 emiratization percentage was 32.36%, while in 31/12/2005 it was 29.83% of the total labour force of the banking sector
