The Research Council will be the overall guiding body in the matters of research, information and publication activities of the Institute. The membership of the Research Council will comprise of national and international experts from banking and finance field.
The General Manager of the EIBFS will be the ex-officio chair of the committee. The Head of Research Department of the EIBFS will be the ex-officio convener of the committee.
The other members of the committee will, by invitation, include:
 A Scholar Representative of the UAE Central Bank
A Scholar Representative of Emirates Banks Association
A Scholar Representative of the Union of Arab Banks
A Scholar Representative of the American Banking Association
A Scholar Representative of the British Banking Association
A Scholar Representative of the UAE Central Bank
A Scholar Representative of a Banking Association from ASEAN
Head of Research Department of a National Bank of UAE
Head of Research Department of an International Bank operating in UAE
Heads of Research of the two Universities of the UAE
Two faculty members from EIBFS
