Our training division has launched a series of training programs targeted to service the needs of financial sector personnel in the U.A.E. We capitalize on the vast experience we have gained, both from regional and international perspectives, relating to Banking and Financial Services
As part of its mission statement the EIBFS announces cordially the CBM designation; to fill the gap in financial market of qualified Branch Managers.
The designation has been carefully structured to build up on promising qualified staff to enhance their abilities in a way that will enable them to serve their organizations better in a world of change and sever competition.

This program consists of three modules as follows:
Objective
The objective of this module is to introduce candidates to the most up-to-date developments and innovations in the areas of economics, accounting and applications of the financial services together with the required background in quantative methods. Outline
*Economics of Public and private choice (macro economics, state budget, GDP, inflation, fiscal and monetary policy, international trade, micro economics, demand, supply, price, equilibrium….. ) * International Financial Reporting Standards ( GAAP, financial statements, disclosure standards, presentation…..) * Quantative Methods. ( time value of money, probabilities, data presentation and measures…..)
Duration:2 weeks (30 credit hours)
Module II Managerial skills
Objective
The objective of this module is to build up the required managerial skills that branch managers need. Those areas are: themselves, and others- Staff, customers and organization together with marketing skills especially in marketing financial services-. As this module is the core of the designation highly in-depth knowledge will be incorporated in all its parts.
Outline
* Managing Yourself. ( time management, stress management, leadership, communication skills, change, decision making, problem solving.....) * Human Resource Management. ( team leadership management, interpersonal skills, sales team, motivation, training, appraisal.....) * Customer Relationship Management. ( customer needs, negotiation skills, new products.....) * Budgeting and cost control techniques. ( cost management, risk management, budgeting, report writing, presentation skills....)
Duration: 4 weeks (60 credit hours)
Module III Professional Skills
Objective
The objective of this module is to complete the professional part, in building up candidates abilities, with regard to the financial services operation side and the legal issues related to the financial services and operations.
Outline
* Financial services legal frame-work. ( banking law, anti money laundry regulation…..) * Banking Operations. ( opening accounts, deposits, remittance, cheques….) * Corporate and retail banking. ( lending principles, , personal loans, credit cards….) * Trade Finance. ( documentary credits, collections, guarantees…….)
Duration: 2 weeks (30 credit hours)
Exam:
** At the end of each module an exam will be held to which candidates are required to get a minimum pass rate of 75% to be able to proceed with the next module.
The courses
** All courses are demonstrated in English language by EIBFS highly and internationally qualified senior professional and academic staff. External experts will be incorporated into tutorial sessions as an essential part of the process to add professional and practical touch as needed throughout the courses. The use of the internet is an integral part of all courses. Case studies and assignments together with class participation are essential parts of candidate progress evaluation.
The Designation:
** Successful candidates who, will attend all courses and successfully pass end of each module exam with minimum pass rate of 75% will be eligible to be honored the CBM Designation.
Timing :
Courses will be held at EIBFS premises, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. evening classes from 5:00pm to 8.30 pm. |
