Within the program (The summer of my country “Saif Biladi” 2010 and in collaboration with the ministry of culture and youth, and the General Authority for youth and sport, EIBFS trained 60 UAE Citizens (Both males and females) who were involved in the program for two weeks started from Monday June, 28th 2010 at Sharjah Head Office.
Mr. Jamal Al Jassmi, General Manager of EIBFS, praised the idea of the program which was launched by the ministry for the fourth time consecutively for building an enlightened generation through the provision of the greatest number of diversified training programs, recreational and sports periods. He also mentioned that, we in the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies are keen to participate in such programs for the sake serving the community, as those programs aim at disseminating awareness of and culture among the schools students, and directing them to the right career path before moving to the stage of academic and University educations and provide them with the opportunity to select and choose the job that suit them.
Mr. Al Jassmi continued that, such activities are very important in attracting the youth and providing them with the skills, knowledge and capabilities in cooperating with the institutions of the state in addition to the useful utilization of their time during the summer vacation, and offering them what enhances their knowledge and skills. Such a program can lead to the discovery of several talents, utilize them to the benefit of the community and state Institutions and the Students themselves.
The program will be executed in the Institute Head office in Sharjah, and it’s Abu Dhabi Branch. The Participants will be introduced to the history of the Banking and Finance sector in the state, during the first week of the program. An Introduction to the Banking and Financial services, products and operations will also will be presented. In addition to that, a brief about Islamic banking and exchange markets. The second week will be devoted to how to find project ideas, how to plan for a private project and to presentation and communication skills.
Mr. Al Jassmi, added that, we in the Institute offer more than 380 training programs annually in the area of banking and finance, and this program offered to schools students is one of the important programs to get them acquainted with the Banking and Finance sector, Banking Operations and providing them with a concise, comprehensive idea about the environment and nature of the work in the state’s banks. |
